I can't provide an actual, unbiased review as this includes my own story ("Book Brain" on page 132), but the book takes a different approach than most Chicken Soup book. It discusses medical information in layman's terms, then uses the essays as examples of how a person can improve their brain through discipline and determination.
Also, my story mentions this very community! After I gave birth in 2005, my brain function went kaput. I decided to take on the 50 Book Challenge in 2006, and it made an amazing difference in my life. So... thanks, 50bookchallenge! I'll be staying around for more years to come.
