As I finished the last page of Four to Score by Janet Evanovich, I came to the end of my reading adventure for 2004. This year began with a Resolution to simply write down the name, author, and ISBN of every book that I read during the year. At first, I wrote in a paper journal that I carried with me everywhere, but in August, I revived my online Blog that had gone fallow for over a year. After cleaning it up, I decided to prowl around and just see what everyone else was blogging about. And it was during this snooping around that I discovered the 50 Book Challenge community at LiveJournal and challenged myself to read an additional 50 books by the end of the year.

Four to Score As the title tells you, Four to Score is the fourth book in Evanovich's mystery series starring novice bounty hunter Stephanie Plum. The books just keep getting better and I know I have a lot of fun reading ahead of me next year as I continue in this series.

You just have to like a character like Stephanie. For example, she goes to the grocery store and "I looked in my shopping cart and wondered if I had everything. Ritz crackers and peanut butter for when I felt fancy and wanted to make hors d'oeuvres. Entermann's coffee cake for PMS mornings, Pop-Tarts for Rex, salsa so I could tell my mother I was eating vegetables, frosted flakes in case I had to go on a stakeout, corn chips for the salsa." What a shopping list!

Four to Score is the 150th book that I read in 2004, and the 56th book since joining the 50 Book Challenge community. You are invited to view the the entire list. This is Elsi signing off for the rest of the year. I'll check in later to see if this challenge is on for 2005.
