October reads...Numbers 65 - 79...

Ok so I passed my goal of 75 and I am not going to worry about making all the books I read new like I have been all year.  So I have read 79 almost 80 books I've never read or heard of this year which is an amazing feat in my book.  Most of them were good and it introduced me to a ton of new authors that I grew to love.  Next year I will leave my goal at 75 I think but we will have to wait and see on that one, my library from the sounds of it will be ultimately smaller but we will just have to wait and see.

Anyways, October's reads were...

65-70.) The American Girl Josefina series (Meet Josefina, Josefina Learns a Lesson, Josefina's Surprise, Happy Birthday Josefina, Josefina Saves the Day and Changes for Josefina) Valerie Tripp  -  So these books were all like 50 or 60 pages each but they were amazing.  I have read most of the American Girl book series and had a couple of the dolls growing up...I even have a couple of the movies.  Josefina is where I left off in the series and I figured I should catch up on the book series.  Like all the rest of them I absolutely loved these books.

71.)  A Conspiracy of Ravens (A Lady Trent Mystery #2) by Gilbert Morris  -  So I loved the first book when I read it last year and haven't been able to this book anywhere until recently.  Now I am moving on in search of the third one.  Anyways, I'm not a fan of mysteries but this series is kind of Historical Fiction (which I LOVE) mixed with Mystery.  I don't know how to explain this book except to say that I absolutely LOVED it.

72.)  Witch Dreams by Vivian Vande Velde  -  My sister in law totally got me stuck on this author.  I haven't come across a book by her that I haven't LOVED.  She has a very good writing style and I can't wait to read more.  It was a fast read which I couldn't put down at all.

73.)  The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine  -  So this is my first book by this author that I recall and I can't wait to read Ella Enchanted and Fairest which are both on my shelf waiting to be read.  I mean this book was more detailed than most I have ever read.  There were more twists and turns than I have ever seen and enjoyed.  I don't like a lot of craziness in my books but this author entranced me and I couldn't put it down.

74.)  Hunted (House of Night #5) by P.C. and Kristen Cast  -  This series is one that I adore.  I am big into the supernatural so I like most of the witch, vampire, werewolf, etc books that I read.  This series is no exception.  I will be reading number 6 here very soon as I am number 2 in line to get it at the library.  The Cast's know how to get you on the edge of your seats and keep you there wanting more.  I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

75.)  Guests by Michael Dorris  -  This was an interesting take on the first Thanksgiving.  I laughed through a lot of it.  I also read it in like a hour or two.  Great and inspirational book.

76 - 79.)  The Royal Diaries -  I read a few of these by various authors.  I love books that are in diary form especially ones about historical figures.  I am a huge history buff and always have been.  These books were very interesting and I can't wait to read more.  I read about Mary, Queen of Scots, Jahanara Princess of Princesses, Elizabeth I and Eleanor of Aquitaine.  These were all very interesting women who lived amazing lives.  I will definitely be reading more of these books.
