Alright, so I realize this is incredibly sad, but this is the first book I have read in a while. It feels like since I started college I've had no free time for pleasure reading. I only just realized recently that it was already April and my book count was still at zero! I took myself to the library and picked a completely random book off the shelf that looked interesting, which turned out to be Manic. I didn't have much prior knowledge of Manic-Depression, so I found this book to be really interesting in that sense. No, it wasn't the greatest book I've ever read, but the author sure had one hell of a life, to put it lightly, and it made for interesting reading.
From Amazon: "Cheney, a former L.A. entertainment lawyer, pointedly dispels expectations of a safe ride through this turbulent account of bipolar disorder. With evocative imagery—time-shuffled recollections meant to mirror her disorienting extremes of mood—Cheney conjures life at the mercy of a brain chemistry that yanks her from soul-starving despair to raucous exuberance, impetuous pursuits to paralyzing lethargy."
Up Next: Not sure, but it's almost summer and I am planning on reading all summer in what I am sure will be an abundance of free time. :)
