First finished was Harry Turtledove's book Ruled Britannia, in which alternate history novel the Armada had succeeded, and England was occupied by the Spanish. William Shakespeare is recruited by the resistance, and we're off and running. I think that this book would be enjoyed by those who've read Shakespeare, and by those who enjoy the Renaissance Fair circuit.
Second book finished was a David Wishart novel, another of the Corvinus series, called A Vote for Murder. Solid read, I found it enjoyable. It's another of the Ancient Roman era mystery novels.
