The Kindle app on my iPod makes this SO much easier to track (books 1-31)

Gosh, I dropped out of this community for a while because it was making me feel guilty. Now that I'm just reading short YA fiction using the Kindle app, I'm blowing through a book every day or two. It feels like cheating, as I am not a young adult anymore, but it's better than reading nothing, right?

I'm copying and pasting from my Amazon, so the author order may be funky.

1. Beautiful Creatures - Garcia, Kami, Stohl, Margaret (Such a beautiful book. I can't wait for the sequel!)

2. Flirt (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series, book 18) - Hamilton, Laurell K. (I guess I lied when I said I had broken up with her. I am so ashamed.)

3. Shiver - Stiefvater, Maggie <3 (Yay for a lone YA werewolf book in my sea of YA vampires.)

4. Vampire Academy - Mead, Richelle (Fun series.)

5. Glass Houses (Morganville Vampires, Book 1) - Caine, Rachel (Kick-ass series. This book was great. Yay for scary vampires, even though they got less scary over the course of the series.)

6. "A" is for Alibi - Grafton, Sue (I thought I'd try mysteries that don't involve vampires. The books seem so dated. They're set in the 1980s with no cell phones. It was just ... weird, so I gave up after a few.)
7. "B" is for Burglar - Grafton, Sue
8. "Q" is for Quarry - Grafton, Sue
9. "R" is for Ricochet - Grafton, Sue
10. "S" is for Silence - Grafton, Sue
11. "T" is for Trespass - Grafton, Sue

12. Frostbite (Vampire Academy, Book 2) - Mead, Richelle
13. Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, Book 3) - Mead, Richelle
14. Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, Book 4) - Mead, Richelle

15. The Dead Girls' Dance (Morganville Vampires, Book 2) - Caine, Rachel
16. Midnight Alley (Morganville Vampires, Book 3) - Caine, Rachel
17. Feast of Fools (Morganville Vampires, Book 4) - Caine, Rachel (I liked this one a lot.)
18. Lord of Misrule (Morganville Vampires, Book 5) - Caine, Rachel
19. Carpe Corpus (Morganville Vampires, Book 6) - Caine, Rachel
20. Fade Out (Morganville Vampires, Book 7) - Caine, Rachel

21. Devil's Bargain - Rachel Caine (Two women are forced to pair up and start a detective agency and to sometimes carry out tasks given to them by psychics. There was a little too much focus on how gorgeous the two women are and a lot of unnecessary sex stuff, but at least they kick ass. Also, not bad for what I guess is a supernatural romance publisher.)
22. Devil's Due - Caine, Rachel

23. Line of Sight - Caine, Rachel (Another supernatural-tinged mystery with a bit much unnecessary sex at really inappropriate times during a hunt for missing girls, but a lot of good stuff too.)

24. Evermore (The Immortals, Book 1) - Alyson Noël (I liked this series less than some of the others, but I still liked it enough to keep reading, at least for now.)
25. Blue Moon (The Immortals, Book 2) - Noël, Alyson
26. Shadowland (The Immortals, Book 3) - Noël, Alyson (I liked the creepy twins.)

27. Marked (House of Night, Book 1) - Cast, P. C., Cast, Kristin (HOLY CRAP. I have such mixed feelings about this series. It's mostly awesome, but the bad stuff is TERRIBLE. I mean practically unreadable because I was so busy rolling my eyes. In trying to be "hip" it comes off as moronic and those throwaway lines are so obviously tacked on at the end, and badly. So the authors are a mother-daughter team, and it would seem that the tacked on stuff could be things the daughter just added as a line here or there after the book was completely written. But I refuse to believe that an actual teen would say or think the way those lines read. So I don't actually know what the daughter's contribution is. The main author is a teacher, and there's a lot of political correctness that, if you read closely, is just really offensive. And There's a lot of HEY LOOK AT HOW INCLUSIVE WE ARE while being really stereotypical in so many ways and nauseatingly self-congratulatory of being so inclusive. The description of someone's skin as the color of a mochaccino or stuff about how the gay boy has great skin and HELLO it's no big deal to be gay. BARF. On the other hand, the story itself is really good. Still better than the Anita Blake books, definitely, although the approach to sex is just as messed up, but more in the IF YOU HAVE SEX TOO SOON YOU'LL REGRET IT sort of way. The moralizing is so obvious in this book, and also so problematic in many ways.)
28. Betrayed (House of Night, Book 2) - Cast, P. C., Cast, Kristin
29. Chosen (House of Night, Book 3) - Cast, P. C., Cast, Kristin
30. Untamed (House of Night, Book 4) - Cast, P. C., Cast, Kristin
31. Hunted (House of Night, Book 5) - Cast, P. C., Cast, Kristin

So, that's the equivalent of like 10 real books, right? ;)
