Our Noise: The Story of Merge Records, the Indie Label That Got Big and Stayed Small
by John Cook with Mac McCaughan and Laura Ballance

Started: August 1, 2010
Finished: August 5, 2010

A pretty interesting oral history of one of the great indie rock labels of the last twenty years. Being co-written by the owners of Merge, it was probably a trifle one-sided but then I've never heard any real dirt on Merge anyways. 279 pages. Grade: B
Biggest Secrets: More Uncensored Truth About All Sorts of Stuff You Are Never Supposed to Know
by William Poundstone

Started: August 6, 2010
Finished: August 8, 2010

Like the other books in this series, there was some interesting stuff in here along with a lot of very outdated info. I don't guess there's much use for a series of books like this today in the age of instant information on the internet. 264 pages. Grade: B-
Total # of Books Read in 2010: 196
Total # of Pages Read in 2010: 49,899
