Book 36

Title: The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie
Author: Alan Bradley
Themes/Topics: Female Protagonist, Murder, Mystery,

Love love love this book! First of all, it's pretty fun that this is the author's first novel and he is 72: very inspiring tidbit.

This is a well-written mystery: entertaining, funny, and eloquent. The protagonist is a precocious girl named Flavia with intelligence and moxie and I can't wait to read more of this series. If you want something that is funny, engaging, and a quick read, pick this up!
