I read a lot. A whole lot. Probably too much. And it's very seldom that I find a book that I can't put down until I'm done with it. But that's what happened to me tonight with Darkness, Take My Hand, the second of the Patrick Kenzie detective novels by Dennis Lehane. Totally fantastic characters in a great environment, an unbelievably engrossing murder mystery, strong writing to put it all together--this was just a fantastic read from start to finish. 336 pages. Grade: A+
