The Wolves in the Wall

The Wolves in the Wall by Neil Gaiman and illustrated by Dave McKean

B&N Synopsis

There are sneaking,
creeping, crumpling noises coming from inside the walls.

Lucy is sure there are wolves living in the walls of their house — and, as everybody says, if the wolves come out of the walls, it's all over. Her family doesn't believe her. Then one day, the wolves come out.

But it's not all over. Instead, Lucy's battle with the wolves is only just beginning.

I love this book and have read it once before. The story is fantastic, and McKean's illustrations are absolutely gorgeous. I especially like the wolves running up and down the stairs and those covered in strawberry jam.

Because my 5-year-old nephew is staying with us for three weeks, my book postings will most likely take a different tenor. I don't think he's quite old enough to appreciate the Sandman series, but give him about 10 years or so. For now, we'll stick with Gaiman's more kid-friendly fare!

Book 14/40
