#49, 50, and beyond

While away, I finished reading seven books:

1. Snow White and the Seven Samurai by Tom Holt. Holt is another British humor author often using fantasy to make his point. This one mangles various fairy tales in an amusing way.

2. Murder in Grub Street. This is another of that mystery series set in pre-American Revolution London. I'd missed this book, skipping ahead in the series, so this was catching up. I like what he does with the characters. I'll be continuing the series.

3. Hetzer Pzkfwg 38t Tank; this was an electronic book I found; not as interesting as I'd hoped for, but I did finish reading it.

4. Israeli Tanks and Combat Vehicles. Another electronic book, also disappointing, though filled with photos of the subjects.

5. Anatomy of the Ship: 32 Gun Frigate Essex. Another electronic book filled with plates and diagrams of the vessel and the important points of her construction. Not too much about the history, though some.

6. Barbados, another electronic book (travelling, I'd run out of books I'd brought with me, but the Ematic was filled with reading material). This one I downloaded from either Project Gutenberg or the Library of Congress. It was a fairly easy read and quick, describing the island of Barbados a century or more ago.

7. Rule 34 by Charles Stross. I bought this one on the trip. Strange killings take place, and the action centers around Scotland in the not too distant future...
