97. Double Jeopardy...; 98. The Importance of Being Earnest

Double Jeopardy: Obsession, Murder, and Justice Denied
by Bob Hill

Started: July 31, 2011
Finished: August 8, 2011

A decent true crime book. Hill's very much a just-the-facts reporter. I would have liked to have seen the book be a little harsher toward the police who botched the investigation in the first place and the jury and prosecution that failed to convict Mel Ignatow during his first trial. 306 pages. The Importance of Being Earnest
by Oscar Wilde

Started: July 31, 2011

Mildly entertaining. The endless epigrams and twists on words got a bit tiresome after a while but there's a solid story behind most of this comedy. 54 pages. Grade: B-
