Fourth in the Sookie Stackhouse series.
It's been a while since I read the first three of these and I'd forgotten just how far the TV series has deviated from the books, so some things were rather different than I'd remembered them.
I enjoyed the book all the same, and it's interesting to see how the two versions of the characters develop differently.
In this book, we get to see a decidedly different version of Eric the vampire, as he loses his memory for much of the book. He's much nicer without it, but also in considerable danger and guess who gets the job of keeping him safe?
Some interesting events in this one which may well have consequences in later books, by the look of things. The fifth book in the series is definitely going on my wanted list.
