I read a lot, yesterday, what with doing laundry and all:

First was Osprey Men-at-Arms #374: Roman Military Clothing (1): 100 BC – AD 200, which was fairly interesting. Apparently, there's at least two more of these, each more modern.

Second was Osprey Fortress #42: The Vauban Fortifications of France dealing with those fortresses built either by, or with the input from a particular engineer during the reign of Louis XIV. Interesting.

Third was Osprey Duel #3: U-boats Vs Destroyer Escorts: The Battle of the Atlantic, which I didn't much care for. Something about the way they reported the topic rubbed me wrong.

Fourth was Osprey Men-at-Arms #205: U. S. Army Combat Equipments 1910 – 1988, a treatise on everything a soldier would have to pack in his gear from prior to WWI into the post-Vietnam period. Boring, but well-defined.

Fifth (!!!, yes, 5th...) was Osprey Men-at-Arms #48: Wolfe’s Army, dealing with the French and Indian War, and the assault on Quebec City. This isn't a well-published war, at least in the US...as if nothing occurred on this continent until 1775!

Whew! All of the above were ebooks. I now have some unloading to do from the Ematic.
