I'm taking a couple of online college-level courses (free!!!) just for the heck of it, and I've just finished reading the first assigned book: Household Stories from the Collections of the Brothers Grimm Translated from the German. I can't begin to tell how boring it was to read some of these, as themes and specific events repeat. However, I can see reading them to kids, with a little manipulation. Many of the standard fairy tales are right here in their glory.
