So I usually don't add fanfiction to my list of things read but I've finally decided that if it's a long chaptered story (and let's be honest, they usually are longer than the published comics I read) then I am adding them and anyone who complains can suck an elf.

...10th Kingdom reference anyone?

So yes, this author Fyre writes heavily in the OUAT fandom, specifically Rumbelle, and I read this particular work and enjoyed it so expect more. However, Hodder holds first place in this months selection. It was fan-freaking-tastic! Historical figures thrown into a world that was never meant to be through the misplaced will of a futuristic time-traveller. My mind was blown. Steampunk, detectives, Darwin, evilness: go read it!

Gaiman's The Garveyard Book was an excellent tale as well. Great character development for a boy that grows up in a cemetery, showing how unafraid children can be if they are raised without the societal fears of childhood/adolescence (bullies, peer pressure, the sting of awkwardness, etc). Lovely horror for adults as well, what with the opening murder and mind-f**ckery.
