Bloodshot by Cherie Priest. 357 pages.
Raylene Pendle is a thief. She has a bit of an advantage in her profession, because she's also a century old vampire, which makes her stronger, faster and more stealthy than most of the competition.
She generally avoids others of her kind, but when Ian Stott approaches her to steal some paperwork from a defunct government project she is drawn to him and accepts the job. Hi-jinks ensue.
A good mystery/adventure/vampire story with a quirky "first person smartass" narrator. We'll be looking out for the sequel.
