This time, it was Osprey Campaign #202: The Arab Revolt 1916 – 18: Lawrence Sets Arabia Ablaze. It deals with the real campaign behind the fame of Lawrence of Arabia which was begun well before T. E. Lawrence arrived on the scene. The book has some detail to it, for those who find the locale or the history of World War I interesting.
I've been asked, recently, about these Osprey books. Obviously, they are short, or else I couldn't blow through them so fast; they are filled with maps, illustrations and photographs, and charts that give a lot of information about each topic. Useful quick overviews that were originally intended for the wargamer market. So I use many of them as resource material.
