#7 Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane. New Read. Interesting to see how the main character Henry goes through a kaleidoscope of emotions as he encounters his first dead body, communicates with other soldiers, both injured and uninjured, the brutal reality of the battles, etc. The boy he was at the beginning of the book is a man by the time the book ends.
#8 SW Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor by Matthew Stover. NEw Read. Loved this book. As Luke Skywalker is my favorite character of all the movies/books...I liked getting to read more about him. The fact that this story was based right after the end of Return of the Jedi, and Han, Leia, Chewie, Lando and so many other loved characters in it. It made it an enjoyable book to read.
#9SW Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader by James Luceno. New Read. I enjoyed this book. It allows the readers the opportunity to see that Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader didn't come as easily or wasn't like he just flipped a switch off in his mind and no longer ceased to have Anakin's thoughts and emotions, and just had Darth Vader's.
#10 Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. New Read. I enjoyed this book very much. It was a quick read and very much like the movie of the same name, although I was surprised to find that Winifred/Winnie was far younger than the age she was depicted in the movie.
