First was Osprey Vanguard #19: Armour of the Middle East Wars 1948 - 78, mildly interesting. The quality of the art is fairly low compared to the New Vanguard series.
Second was Osprey New Vanguard #30:AMTRACS: US Amphibious Assault Vehicles. Having been very recently to the National Museum of the Pacific War in Texas, this book was especially interesting, going into the evolution of these vehicles into the modern era. Informative.
Third was a graphic novel, Saga Volume 2. Science Fiction, but interpersonal relations, and racial tensions. Pretty good art, too.
