Just before bed last night, I finished a Dewey Lambdin novel of Napoleonic era nautical fiction called Hostile Shores. Very readable, a bit of fun. I've liked his Lewrie series pretty much throughout; this was something like the nineteenth novel in the saga, and the twentieth is already out, and queueed up to read. Good stuff.

Then, this morning, bleary-eyed, I finished reading Osprey Warrior #2: Waffen-SS Soldier 1940 – 45. I guess this one was a "know-thy-enemies" kind of book. In a way, it gave me the heebie-jeebies; hard to explain why.
