28.       The Vow by Jessica Martinez  In this book Annie is dealing with her best friend Mo having to move back to Jordan.  She comes up with the idea to marry him in order to keep him in the country.  Mo had helped Annie through a difficult time in her life and she decides to help him.  While married to Mo, Annie meets a young man in the place where she works at and the two of them hit it off.  She also goes against her parents in marrying Mo.  She has to decide if she wants to put aside her own desires for Mo which is hard to do at such a young age.

33.       Holly Jean and the Secret of Ridgeback Ridge by Bonnie Compton Hanson Holly Jean towards the end of the school year has to leave her city school behind and move in with her grandmother in rural Kentucky after her father gets drafted into World War II.  She has to adapt to another way of life.  One day when going out on Razorback Ridge she discovers the truth about the ghosts of Razorback Ridge.  She also makes some new friends as well.  This is a good book for young readers that they could get into though it is set before the Internet and cell phones existed.
