Over the last few days I finished reading two books.

First was Osprey Raid #35: The Last Ride of the James-Younger Gang: Jesse James and the Northfield Raid 1876. Now, I don't usually do much with Western novels, but this isn't a novel, but a short treatise on how a gang in the Wild West might try to take down a bank or a town. I found it surprisingly interesting. Recommended for folks with an interest in the post-Civil War US.

As to the second one, Racine: An Historical Narrative: United Commercial Travelers of America Convention Souvenir, published in 1920: I'd downloaded it from the Internet Archive because I did a lot of growing up in Racine, Wisconsin, and had learned very little of its history. About a third of the book is truly devoted to history; about half describes the local major industries and financial folks, while the rest is devoted to advertisements for various companies. When I lived there forty years later, many of the companies were still there, so I found it intriguing. Unfortunately, the OCR software did a miserable job of copying, so it was borderline unreadable. I don't recommend anyone else go looking for it.
