This book contains several short biographies of Christians from various periods of history.
I remember being unsettled when I saw that this only got 2 out of 5 stars on Goodreads, but based on the fact that this was the opinion of one person, I didn't let myself be put off. I quite enjoyed this book, although there was a lot of tragedy and suffering involved in the stories, which reminded me how I shouldn't expect the Christian life to be easy.
I enjoyed each of the stories, with the most memorable being about how John Gifford was saved from being hanged, and he dedicated the rest of his life to God.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to others.
