2014 Summary

Well, I'm doing a little better in 2015 from a 'posting my summary for the previous year before December' compared to last year, even if my actual reading has been significantly slower this year (I'm studying my Masters, so...). So what did 2014 bring? Firstly, it brought me a new job and the purchase of a house within a week of each other. In May 2014, I finally said goodbye after nearly 6 years of audit in a Big 4, and took up a role as a management accountant in a Uni (I love it, its fabulous!). I also bought my first house, a three bedroom townhouse in the bayside of Brisbane. My little dog Ellie and I moved in and having been living it up ever since. I also started saving madly for and planning my next U.S.A holiday, which I will finally embark on in a month (woohoo!). Anyway, on with the summary:

So close, yet so far. I know I'm never gonna make the 50 books unless something bizarre happens in my life, but I got so very close to the 15000 pages this year (and it wasn't from lack of trying). Unfortunately the last book I picked would have got me across the line but was a nightmare to read, so I didn't make it. I also didn't make the 15 500+ page books (I read 4, so an improvement on 2013), nor have I got close to it for 2015. Oh well. Another attempt shall begin in earnest in 2016!
