I'm not keeping this up as well as I should; a couple of days back I finished reading Osprey Raid #26: Tora! Tora! Tora!: Pearl Harbor 1941. I've read other works on this event before; this book came to somewhat different conclusions, though. A number of the other books suggested that there should have been a third raid attacking the fleet's fuel storage tanks and that not hitting them was a strategic failure. This one stated that there was no way that the Japanese could have caused more than a minor amount of damage to the tank farm and that the US forces would have put up much more of a defense had they done so. I found the argument interesting after so many previous authors stated otherwise. Anyway, I enjoyed the presentation of this Osprey book.
