Book 41

Title: The 19th Wife
Author: David Ebershoff
Themes: Polygamy, mystery, murder, Mormons

Love love love this book!  Such a riveting tale of mystery and history.  It is interesting how the author weaves together the "truth" about Ann Eliza Young and polygamy in the LDS into such a complex and riveting tale.  I had no idea of the details of the polygamy in the church, and had never given thought to the trials placed upon families that were in polygamous households: heartbreaking and mind-opening.  I would recommend this book to anyone!

Title: The Confession
Author: John Grisham
Rating: 3/5
Book: 47/50 (94% completed)
Pages: 418 pgs
Total Pages 17,635/15,000 pages
Next up: The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis

This book was actually quite good for the first half. I really thought something was going to happen as Grisham was leading you to believe so but then when it didn't, I was very disappointed. Not to mention the subject matter of the plot is a sensitive topic. The second half of the book dragged. Overall, I think it is worth a read but definately not one of Grisham's best.
