powerful, awful, amazing, revolting and uplifting all at the same time.
9. A Wrinkle in Time - Madelaine L'Engle
I can't believe I have never read this book before. I loved it and can't wait to read it to my own kids. Great science and story all together as Meg and her younger brother Charles Wallace have to time-space travel to rescue their father. Wonderful message and perspective. I loved the character who only spoke in quotations and the idea that our Earth senses are just the beginning and that there are many other communication methods. And, I just found out there are two more books in the series. hip,hip
10. something blue - Emily Giffen
This is the sequel to something borrowed and was just as engrossing. This book is told from the perspective of Darcy, best friend of Rachel, the narrator of the first book. Telling the same story but from the other point of view, this one picks up where the first left off. Darcy is not the most sympathetic character and it takes a long time for her to grow and become somewhat likeable, something the Shopaholic was never able to do. Great chick lit.
